Our Mission



At Howard’s Mission, we collect donations directly from the community through our 24/7 donation bin, as well as clothing drives organized by schools, businesses, and local groups. Community generosity is the foundation of our work and allows us to consistently provide essential items to those in need. 

In addition to donated items, we purchase new necessities whenever possible, including men’s, women’s, and children’s underwear, baby clothing, hats, gloves, and other essential items. This ensures that individuals receive new, clean basics that are often the most urgently needed. 

All donations are brought to our facility, where volunteers carefully sort, organize, and pack every item by hand. Nothing is sold or shredded for profit. Volunteer groups, students, and community members play a critical role in preparing these items for distribution.

We distribute clothing and essentials to more than 35 partner locations across New Jersey and New York, including shelters, food pantries, churches, nursing homes, and street outreach programs. Each week, we provide over 3,000 items to individuals and families, helping bring comfort, dignity, and support to communities in need.
